The Brynn brings 200 new residences to Civita through a contemporary interpretation of San Diego Modernism that feels distinctly connected to its climate and setting. Overlooking the 14-acre Civita Park, the five-story community takes advantage of Mission Valley’s dramatic topography, framing expansive views of the park, surrounding hills, and city beyond.
Rather than treating landscape as an accessory, The Brynn organizes daily life around a series of lush courtyards, gardens, walkways, balconies, and indoor-outdoor gathering spaces. Varied façade depths, generous glazing, shaded terraces, and a coastal-inspired material palette help break down the project’s scale and create a more welcoming residential character.
The project demonstrates how higher-density housing can still feel open, connected, and grounded in nature. By placing residents within walking distance of Civita Park, trails, shops, restaurants, and community amenities, The Brynn strengthens the larger vision of Civita as a walkable urban village. It is a compelling example of architecture and landscape working together to turn a former industrial valley into a vibrant place to live, gather, and experience San Diego’s indoor-outdoor lifestyle.

“Love the modern design and how it integrates into Civita Park!
As a cornerstone of the Civita development, the development helps to tie the whole area together with its open spaces and naturally flowing architecture.
