In the first design meeting, the client described himself as a sculptor—viewing his work as the art of shaping the human body through self-care and self-love. This poetic perspective guided the design concept, with an emphasis on form, texture, and refinement.

Locally sourced Mexican travertine was selected as a key material, used in the reception desk and select architectural elements. The stone was carefully crafted to convey both rawness and polish—exposing reveals and textural transitions that reflect the sculptor’s process, from rough block to refined form. Softened edges were intentionally shaped to bring subtlety and lightness to the otherwise robust material.

Working within the limited footprint of a concrete medical building, every square foot was maximized. Structural columns were repurposed as integrated storage, blending seamlessly with custom millwork and maintaining a cohesive spatial language.

Technological elements were introduced thoughtfully: smart film was applied to glazed partitions separating the medical office from treatment areas, allowing dynamic control of privacy while preserving access to natural light.

The result is a space that celebrates the human form, material expression, and design precision—an environment that promotes healing, dignity, and the quiet artistry of transformation.
