Rooted in its sense of place, CHAPEL at Liberty Station honors San Diego’s rich military history as a spiritual home for Naval Training Center recruits. In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the U.S. military, we carefully restored its original Douglas fir wood floors, revitalized its beams, preserved the historic stained glass and baptismal font, and honored the original craftsmanship throughout the altar, nave and transept. This architectural care ensures theChapel’s legacy lives on serving as a timeless venue for weddings, community events, celebrations of life, and life milestones where past and present meet in every gathering.

The Chapel is a San Diego treasure. We’re honored to have played a part in bringing this piece of San Diego history back to life and giving it a new chapter for generations to come.
CHAPEL is beautiful building inside and out. One of the my favorite historical venues in San Diego. The renovation that was done does an absolute brilliant job as enhancing the old foundation.

Being part of the restoration and preservation of CHAPEL at Liberty Station has been one of the most memorable and meaningful experiences of my career.
What has made this project so special goes far beyond the building itself. I’ve had the opportunity to meet former service members who were once stationed at what is now Liberty Station and watch them walk back through the doors of CHAPEL decades later, sharing their memories and stories of this space.
Having some of them personally thank me for helping preserve a place that holds such an important part of their history has been incredibly rewarding and honestly difficult to put into words.
This experience has reminded me that historic preservation is about so much more than restoring a building. It’s about honoring the people, memories, and stories that give that building meaning while ensuring they aren’t lost as the space begins its next chapter.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have played a small part in preserving CHAPEL and helping carry its history forward for generations to come.

Such a beautiful venue and treasured part of Point Loma history! Getting married at The Chapel is one of my most cherished memories, and it has been incredibly special to see it restored with such care and dedication.
