Morse High School in Skyline–Paradise Hills has recently undergone a massive, campus-wide modernization effort that has changed the face of the school and turned it into a neighborhood asset. Designed to uplift an underserved community, the upgrades bolster student health and security, upgrade aging building systems, improve accessibility, and create a welcoming neighborhood school in harmony with its surroundings

The centerpiece is a brand new, two story, 19,000 sf Performing Arts Center (PAC), the only one in this area of San Diego. This state of the art facility houses a 480 seat auditorium with stadium seating, LED lighting, fly loft, catwalks, orchestra shell, black box theater, dressing rooms, green room, control and sound booths—and is available for both school and community events. The PAC and support spaces are being used for school productions, concerts, dance recitals, and academic events, transforming Morse into a vibrant arts and educational hub. When the PAC opened in 2024, it was celebrated with multiple debut performances.

Alongside, a new 12,000 sf Administration/Student Services Building now greets students, faculty and visitors and offers a secure entry lobby, administrative offices, counseling and health spaces. Recent improvements also included renovating gyms, locker rooms, restrooms, the MDF room, and classrooms—in line with CHPS Designed sustainability standards

Campus improvements also include a redesigned quad, improved drop off and parking circulation, upgraded security fencing and surveillance, new lighting, and landscape enhancements—all in an effort to create a more enjoyable learning environment for our local students.
