Midnight Cowboy (speakeasy) is one of the sister projects of Cereus Bar and Nativo Coffee, a 70’s take on the traditional western tavern, brought to life by deep dark greens on walls, curtains, upholstery and marble bar countertop. Being part of the basement of a 1940’s building, the original brick wall was uncovered to become the main display of our memorabilia wall. Dimmed warm lights, red neon details and chocolatey carpentries transport users into the wild wild west for a night. To make the space even cozier, we collaborated with the Tijuanense artist Raul Perez from Professional Paint MX to create a unique wooden pattern in walls and plafonds and brought in local street signwriter Miguel Angel for the handwritten menu on mirror of this speakeasy.
