Design + Community: National City

BARRIO LOGAN | CHULA VISTA | CITY HEIGHTS | LA MESA | NATIONAL CITY | SAN MARCOS | SOUTHEASTERN SAN DIEGO

NATIONAL CITY

As the second oldest city in San Diego County, National City is known for its charming Victorian architecture, a rich cross-border history, and a melting pot of residents that are 64 percent Latino and 20 percent Asian. OH! San Diego 2021 will highlight National City’s walkable downtown and the exciting new development taking place there, with a self-guided walking tour, a virtual hard-hat tour of the new mixed-use development at 8th & B, and more. Get an up-close look at award winning architecture including the National City Aquatic Center and Lincoln Acres Library. County health guidelines permitting, also in store is a guided tour of the Paradise Creek restoration project, a docent-led bike tour, and Art in the Park hands-on family-friendly art activity hosted by A Reason to Survive (ARTS).
