BEEP stands for Built Environment Education Program. As part of SDAF’s overarching mission, the program strives to inspire San Diego’s youth to discover the value of design in our built environment.

BEEP hosts a variety of free events, from our Second Saturday virtual KidSketch lessons, to Meet BEEP in the Park.
KidSketch is a series of free virtual lessons to encourage sketching as a way to learn about and explore the world around us, as inspiration for the next generation of built-environment visionaries, and just to have fun! and Meet BEEP in the Park is our yearly in-person event where we share the BEEP mission with the community and kids gather in teams to create giant geodesic domes.

BEEP offers free on-demand activities such as the popular KidSketch program, as well as mini-geodesic dome crafts and more. Kids of all ages are invited to pick a video, follow along, and post your completed projects on Instagram and Facebook. Be sure to tag your creations with #kidsketchsd.
