OH! San Diego 2020 Photo Competition

Thank you to all who submitted photos for the OH! San Diego 2020 photo competition. Winners will announced via SDAF email on April 9th, 2020.

 

How it Works

There are four categories: Exterior, Interior, Detail, and Student (under 18 years old). You may submit up to four photos per category. Thank you to Nelson Photo and Warwick’s, who are generously providing the following prizes to the winners:

  • Exterior, Interior, and Detail categories –  one 1st place winner for each category
    • $100 from the San Diego Architectural Foundation (SDAF)
    • $75 gift card from Nelson Photo
    • $25 gift card from Warwick’s Bookstore
  • Exterior, Interior, and Detail categories – one 2nd place winner for each category
    • $50 from the San Diego Architectural Foundation (SDAF)
    • $35 gift card from Nelson Photo
    • $25 gift card from Warwick’s Bookstore
  • Student category – one 1st place winner
    • $50 from the San Diego Architectural Foundation (SDAF)
    • $25 gift card from Warwick’s Bookstore

Submitted photos must be taken March 6-8, 2020 and feature an OH! 2020 participating site. The deadline to submit photography is Sunday March 15th, 2020 by 11:59pm. Winners will announced via SDAF email announcement April 9th, 2020.

Competition Committee

David Harrison, Competition Coordinator

David Harrison is a well-established photographer who specializes in capturing architecture, corporate working environments, the music industry, and studio products. He has been working in San Diego area for over 25 years and his work has been published in Architectural Record, Riviera, San Diego Home & Garden, Dwell, Modernism Magazine, Angeleno Interiors, and Residential Architect magazine.

Mike Savacool, Competition Judge

As Chief Strategic Officer of LESS+MORE, Mike plays a leading role in all key client projects, helping to articulate priorities and shape strategy. He works with leaders from multinational corporations and visionary start-ups, directing the creation of branding and design solutions that set their brands and products apart.
Schooled in design and passionate about pushing great organizations forward, Mike applies rigorous thinking, a clear communication style, and good old fashioned hard work to help solve the many challenges LESS+MORE tackles.

 

Terms and Conditions

The ownership of the copyright in images submitted will remain yours and you are free to republish it wherever you wish and in whichever medium you wish. By submitting your photographs to OH! San Diego 2020 you grant the San Diego Architectural Foundation and OH! a non-exclusive right to use the image(s) on our website, social media,  printed pieces and promotional materials relating to the San Diego Architectural Foundation, OH! and Open House Worldwide. We reserve the right not to accept/publish submitted photographs. Photographs submitted to competition must be the original work of the entrant.

  • No matter the style, beautiful design and architecture in our built environment showcases the creativity, passion and talent of people who have worked hard to help San Diego be its best self.
